Alfred Agbesi Woyome
Businessman Alfred Agbeshi Woyome will appear before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament Wednesday.
Mr. Woyome, a chief witness in the controversial GHS 51 million judgment debt saga, declined invitations from the PAC on two occasions.
The committee’s chair, Albert Kan-Dapaah threatened to call for his arrest and subsequent hauling before the PAC.
Lawyers for the embattled businessman had explained PAC’s summons did not reach their client early enough to enable him appear before the committee.
But his aide Kwame Tawiah told Joy News the beleaguered businessman is prepared to face the PAC tomorrow after the committee satisfied certain conditions.
“Not that Mr Alfred Agbesi Woyome is somebody who is anti law abiding person. He respects the rule of law and the separation of powers and for that matter if something is done unconstitutionally we all need to follow the due process so that tomorrow history will not repeat itself,” Kwame said.
