Edward Omane Boamah, Minister of Communications, who officially launched the phone and walked away with two Galaxy S4s as gifts, commented: “The Galaxy S4 is a unique and wonderful product and there are several applications you can find on it.”
He was happy that the South Korean IT giant chose Ghana to be among the first nations to launch the latest smartphone and noted that Ghana has come far in terms of Information Communication Technology (ICT) development.
According to him, Ghana would continue to be the gateway to technology innovations in West Africa.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is slimmer yet stronger and uses polycarbonate, a premium material ideal for complementing the beautifully crafted design of the phone and also for everyday use.
It is currently available in two colour options – black mist and white frost. Additional colour options will be introduced later this year.
The company explained that “the real beauty of the phone is the highly crated design encompassing a larger screen size and battery, minimised bezel, all housed in the (130g) and slim (136.6×69.8×7.9mm) shape that you never thought possible.”
“With Galaxy S4, Samsung is again going to enhance the way we live,” Jaspreet Singh, Business Leader of Handheld Products at Samsung Electronics Ghana said.
“All the innovative features of GALAXY S4 were developed based on the insights and needs we found from our consumers all around the world. Following the successful Galaxy S series, this phone is yet another great proof point of people-inspired innovation. At Samsung we will never stop pursuing innovation conceived by people so we can inspire them in return,” Jaspreet added.
