The Financial Division of the Fast Track High Court has adjourned the case involving businessman Alfred Woyome to March 15, after a thorough examination and cross examination of former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), Vanlare Dosoo as the fifth prosecution witness.
The Financial Division of the Fast Track High Court resumed hearing of the case involving the controversial judgment payment of GHC 51 million to Mr. Woyome.
The Former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Vanlare Dosoo chaired the sub- committee that looked into the two final bids put up by Vamed Engineering and Mpowapak for the construction of stadia for CAN 2008.
He confirmed that the terms of reference for the committee was to ascertain the financial viability of the two companies and also find out if their financial components were from credible financial institutions.
He also examined timelines the money would be made available for the project and confirmed that his committee recommended for Vamed Engineering represented by Alfred Woyome to be awarded the contracts.
Mr Dosoo is the fifth prosecution witness to testify in the case with the others being the Deputy Head of the Legal Department at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mrs. Mangowa Ghanney and a former Minister of Finance, Yaw Osafo-Marfo.
The rest are former Deputy Minister of Finance, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu and Head of Aid and Debt Unit at the Ministry of Finance And Economic Planning, Yvonne Quansah.
