Job Description
As its subsidiary, Tullow Ghana Limited is looking to
enhance its cadre of senior professionals as follows:
Roles and Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provides
high quality geological evaluations, reservoir and well correlations to
the Ghana Development Team;
- Support
infill planning studies and well drilling operations;
- Define
data acquisition programmes, including wireline, LWD, coring and fluid
sampling;
- Generate
3D geocellular models with Petrel software for dynamic reservoir
simulation and volumetric assessments;
- Define
and supervise in-house and external geological studies;
- Help
maintain geological database;
- Mentor
and train junior geologists;
- Provide
technical guidance and assistance to other teams, and participate in major
projects as required;
- Represent
the company in Government and Partners meetings
Required Skills or Experience
- Masters
Degree in Petroleum Geology or related discipline;
- 15+
experience in Oil and Gas industry with strong background in development
geology;
- Extensive
experience in the Oil and Gas industry, working as a Reservoir/Development
Geologist with an Operating Company;
- Skilled
user of typical geoscience software, including Petrel, Interactive
Petrophysics or Techlog;
- Strong
operational geology skills and experience;
- Ideally
used to international new country environments;
- Solid
communication skills high - verbal and written
