Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Work with Clark Sustainable Resource Development's Planning Department to collect, process and analyze hydrographic survey data to produce harvesting plans and inventory assessments of submerged forests.
Brief Description of Responsibilities:
Work with Clark Sustainable Resource Development's Planning Department to collect, process and analyze hydrographic survey data to produce harvesting plans and inventory assessments of submerged forests.
Brief Description of Responsibilities:
- Collection
of field data using Multi-beam and Imaging sonar equipment
- Collection
of various types of environmental monitoring data
- Processing
various forms of hydrographic survey data
- Creation
of maps and databases associated with hydrographic surveying
- Plan
and participate in extended field assignments on the Volta Lake
- Creating
and updating harvest plans and schedules
Required Skills or Experience
Technical Skills/Background:
- A
degree in Geomatic Engineering or Natural Resource Management
- 1-3
years working experience
- Experience
using ArcGIS, experience with Autocad and Microsoft Access also considered
an asset
- Working
knowledge of the Ghanaian forest industry including forest inventory
assessments and harvest scheduling
- Strong
Excel skills
- Boating
experience is an asset
- Extended
trips will be required around Volta Lake by boat and vehicle
