Nigeria has been crowned the Champions of Africa in the just ended Cup of Nations after they beat Burkina Faso by a lone goal thanks to a Sunday Mba strike in the 40th minute.
Sunday Mba plies his trade with Warri Wolves and it was his second goal of the tournament after scoring against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in only his 10 cap.
This is the third time the Super Eagles have won the trophy and also marks a great achievement for the Nigerian Coach Stephen Keshi, who has become only the second man in history to win the Nations Cup as a coach and a player.
Burkina Faso fell short of what would have been a surprising triumph in its first final, having progressed beyond the group stage for only the second time at the African championship.
