The headmaster of the school confirmed this to Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah.
According to the school head, out of 17 teachers, 14 of them are members of the concerned teachers association who embarked on a strike, Monday.
The remaining teachers could not take on the pressure of handling the extra duties and consequently the school was closed down.
Ohemeng Tawiah said many other schools in the metropolis are likely to be closed down too.
According to him, the head masters of the various schools are meeting with officers of the regional education directorate to take a decision following the strike by the teachers.
The pupils, Tawiah noted, have been loitering in classrooms without teachers.
It is unclear when the teachers will return.
The coalition of concerned teachers begun the action Monday to back demands for improved service conditions, the restoration of reduced salaries and resumption of negotiation on market premium which is a key component of the single spine pay policy.
The association is also seeking the immediate release of capitation grant to all public basic schools and supply of teaching and learning materials.
