The driver of the Toyota Hiace bus, according to the police and rescuers, had fled into town, perhaps to save himself from any form of mob attack after reportedly running into the car.
No casualty was recorded as at the time of filing this report but some of the occupants were reported to be in critical condition with others responding to treatment.
The damaged vehicles were later towed to the Tema Regional MTTU Police Station for further investigations.

He said the first accident involving two taxi cabs occurred at about 1:00 a.m. yesterday dawn believing that the accident might have happened as a result of one of the drivers sleeping whiles driving.
He charged road users to be cautious when driving adding that the command was working around the clock to sensitize road users on the need to drive safely and avoid over-speeding.
